I came across the mention of Dr Mac's Organic Pellets when I was searching the net for avian vets for someone else. The website I found said Dr Debra McDonald is based in Healesville Sanctuary (Victoria, Australia) and there's a few distributors of her products. www.drmacs.com

 

Has anyone heard of them? If I looked correctly, the budgie pellets are around $17 per kilo.

 

There's also a mention on the website of all the doctor's publications. Does anyone here religiously read any bird magazines? Any recommendations?

I just had a look at that link - the pellets seem really good, and something I would like to try...

 

I will be in Melbourne next month, right by one of the distributors, and I will get a bag to try :)
