thanks hurdybirdy

how did you do that i would like to post a picture of my crested that i have

I don't use imageshack.. so I'm not sure what you see when you post a picture.. You needed the part that ended started in "http://img and ended in .jpg" - hit the little icon with a picture that looks like a tree and paste that - it will add the img tags automatically

Your pictures were are little big.. they need to be 450 pixels or less so they may get changed to links.. I wasn't sure how to do that.

Hi my answers to this topic are

A) looks like a white based, sky blue, opaline

 looks like a white based, sky blue, Normal

C) looks like a Yellow Based, Dark factor, Olive

Hope this helps you with your troubles

Sco-tie

I agree with Sco-tie. Cute Birds.

agree with one and two but to be sure with 3 what is the colour of the tail?

the base of the tail feathers closest to the birds body is the same as the body but the long tail feathers are black

here are a few more

1st bird

and here is my crested

it would help if you could tell me what mutations they are

With the first one if the long tail feathers are black that means Grey-green not Olive.

With the next list:

1. Spangle perhaps another grey-green and maybe cinnamon, the throat spots look brown to me.

2. grey spangle

3. Is interesitng the flecking on the head and thoat spots makes me think opaline but the wings don't seem to carry the same colour as the body. Do the wings look like the first two or is there more black showing?

4 (crested). Opaline skyblue possible cinnamon.

okay the fist bird in the second lot the throat spoots and the markings on the wings are brown

there is a bit more black in the wings and the colour on the wings is a more of a yellow colour not the body colour

here is a couple more shots of her

Ahh thank you for the back shots she is an opaline spangle.

As the the first one in the secon lot brown markings means cinnamon like I thought. Becuase she is cinnamon the colouring could match an olive - they get a mustard body colour.
