Posted October 25, 200618 yr Here's a picture of my beautiful baby Petey Nermal Chuckles (Petey for short!) calmly sitting on my hand outside of his cage last night for the first time since he was about 5 weeks old (he's only 9 weeks now). I was so excited! He's pretty good in the cage, but gets a bit of attitude if he's been around Charlie all day (she's a cranky old thing, even before she lost her longtime partner Maverick a few weeks back!) And here's what I wasn't planning to find one week after I found homes for Petey's brothers and sister: After reading some other posts about handling babies I thought I'd be brave and pick this little one up this morning - its a week old today and just sooo cute! Poor Paris-Courtney hadn't finished feeding the other bubs when she got cracking and started on these. No wonder she's looking tired! I'll be making sure the nest box comes off before she gets a chance to do this again! Luckily I've already found homes for the 3 that have hatched so far, but I don't want to encourage her to be a baby machine
