Not Feeding Much

Featured Replies

Skye's newest chick doesn't seem to be getting much attention and Jake, the oldest one who is 4 days old and the other newest one are getting most of the food...Everytime I check they're feeding the bigger ones and not so much the newest one, Ayla. Her crop always seems to be small and not very full. She is 2 days old now.

Also she is getting stepped on quite a bit because she is so small...

What should I do?

I think this is pretty normal. The only times i've had the youngest as full as the oldest is with my super daddy, Gherkin, on the job. :hap: As long as it is getting fed it should be right. :(

The littlest ones always look like they only have a minute amount of food in comparison, so don't worry too much. Keep checking regularly if you are worried, but it should be okay :hap:

okay that's a relief! (Laughing out loud) Thanks!

Although I wouldn't have minded handfeeding it and it getting really used to me =)
