1.yes it does because they will bond and pair up and mate six would be better 3 females 3 males.

2.yes when they pair up seperate the pairs you want to breed

4.When the female is ready to breed it will turn brown

4.you dont want the cere fully brown as this means she is on her way out of breeding condition

HEY i think u need to buy them together as a baby then they get to know each other good

I have a budgie and she's a color mutation where her cere is a pinkish color...she's about a year old now. Will her cere still turn a crusty brown when she's ready to breed?

Steinbock, if at a year old your budgie still has a pinkish cere, you have a male and not a female.
