Posted October 14, 200619 yr HI EVERY ONE i havent been on here in ages!!, but i have a question my female budgie has laye five eggs the first one should og hatched yestarday but i forgot to label the eggs so i dont no if the first one was fertile or not. but my question is today i saw the mother and the father in the nest at the same time what does this mean!? thx for your replays :bluebudgie:
October 14, 200619 yr doesnt mean much at all really i have some pairs were the cock bird spent a lot of time in the nest and others that dont spend any time
October 14, 200619 yr At least half of my budgie fathers ( and thats a lot ) help incubate the eggs with the hen. They also stay in the box to feed the babies and keep them warm. They only seem to stay out of the box at night when the babies get a little bigger. :bluebudgie:
