are you wanting to start breeding or just get a friend fir your budgie? Two males can live together without fights if this is all you want.

more than happy to give some info about breeding too just want some further info about while you wish to add a box.

This would not be the best setup as most home cages are too small to breed a pair, don't forget that if they do breed you may have 4-8 babies all in that cage.

But it can work if the cage is around the same as a breeders cage, the first pair I ever breed with was in a normal cage and i still use that cage today as a breeding cage.

My budgie cage isnt a small mobile cage,

its a bit taller then a metre and is almost 1 metre wide.

:dbb1: Was just reading your other post here where you say you just have time to let out your budgie on the weekend, they do need some out of time cage every day. Since you are a student and are so busy with school and your social schedule, I would suggest that maybe you shouldn't be dealing with nest boxes quite yet, it is the fairest thing to do for your budgie and most sensible thing for you to do with your limited time schedule. Getting a companion for Louie and arranging more out of cage time seems like the best solution to me, please don't consider breeding at this stage of your life. :bluebudgie:

I second what Phoebe said. I think that your saying that you have a male? You could get another male and they would do well together, since males tend to get along great. If you want a friend for your budgie that is what I would recommend.
