This is Opal my newest budgie. (Can you guess why she was named this?) I adopted her from Petsmart where I work because she has a leg injury and she could not be sold. She is like a normal budgie in everyway except the way she moves and perches a little differently. I almost think she is a he sometimes because of the way she is always bobing her head at her toys and chatters away at them. I almost think that she might start talking sometimes.

This is hard but let me try to guess… you named her Opal because she’s an opaline? Or was it because she is a gem?

 

Great for her that she found a home and great for you cause you found another precious feathered friend.

She perches funny because her one leg sticks out to the side a little bit.
