Posted October 4, 200618 yr I have a question about sleeping positions of birds. My little budgie usually does the normal "sleep on one leg" thing.... but lately she has started to turn her head around and doze with her head resting on her wings. IS this a sign of sickness?! She is otherwise cheerful and "bitey" as ever
October 4, 200618 yr Does she do this often and does she have both feet on the perch when she does it?
October 4, 200618 yr All my birds tuck their little beaks around the back when they are sleeping. If what you're describing is what I'm thinking, it's perfectly normal...
October 4, 200618 yr Anything like this ?? If it's anything like that lot...it's normal for a budgie It's when they do weird things like this ...that there's something to worry about ...but even that budgie is "normal" ...just a baby, and baby budgies do weird things. I had one that hung upside down from his perch and slept like a bat !!
October 4, 200618 yr yes... she looks like all those pics !!! and she only does it sometimes... i guess we like to sleep on our backs/sides/fronts too! I would have LOVED to have seen your little bat-budgie!!!!! that would be SO adorable!!!!

It is firmly imprinted in my mind.....his name was Boss and he was a lutino.
