Hi all,

I'm new to this community! My name is Amy, I'm from Victoria, and currently have 2 budgies that I adore. "Buddy" a pure white male (who I'm planning on breeding with) and "Dizzy" a 6 week old blue/ grey. I absolutely adore budgies, and am currently gathering all the info I can on breeding, but first I need to find a girlfriend for Buddy!

Wish me luck!! :D

Welcome to the forums! Both your budgies sound adorable. :D

Welcome to the place :D

They both sound great, I hope you find a hen soon. Is Buddy an Albino (red eyes) or all white with dark eyes?

 Hi there. Happy to have you aboard. :P Enjoy, cruise around, ask questions and have fun. Love to see piks of your budgies.... ^_^

Cheers karen

Welcome. Can't wait to see some pics of your budgies. They sound wonderful!

Hi All,

Thankyou so much for your super quick replies! I feel so welcomed already!!!

Oh, Nerwen, he's not albino, I think they call him a Latino (is that right?) I'm new at all this so bear with me! He doesn't have pink eyes. So I'm trying to find another Latino female to go with him.

Oh and I'll be sure to post some picks as soon as my web cam is up and running again!

Again, thanks to everyone, I'm sure you'll get sick of me asking questions eventually! :P

Amy.

Lutinos are pure yellow with red eyes

A white (can be yellow as well) bird with black eyes is either a DEC (Dark Eyed Clear) or a Double Factor Spangle.

It's easy to tell which one is which the first doesn't get iris rings the second does.

oh okay, so sorry! Can you tell I'm just starting out!?!?

He has white rings on the outside of the centre of the eye, and I just noticed he has a tiny (and I mean tiny) amount of very pale blue on his chest, it's barely noticable, till you get up close and squint alot!!! So what's that make him? Geez I wish the camera was working.

OH, he finally has a girlfriend! Now this is a strange one.....

She's mainly green, pale grey/ yellow wings, yellow face, dark black eyes and violet down under her chest. She's lovely, but wow, don't try to catch her!!!!! Once she's latched on she doesn't let go!!!!

Amy.

Hi there everyone, all your budgies seem very adorable. I'm also new to this site and have 10 budgies right now. i was wondering if someone could help me identify what type one of my budgies are. Her name is honey and she has yellow spangle marked wings, yellow body with green patches and is now about a year old but has no white iris. she also has pink feet and a corn yellow beak. I'll post a picture soon, thanks in advance for any replies.
