Posted September 30, 200618 yr so we are thinking of buying 2 budgies but i am not quite sure on the size of a cage needed would a 17" long by 17" deep by 22" high work of should i go bigger? i am a stay at home mom so they will be getting quite a bit of flight time we do go on day trips with the family so they will be in the cage all day about two times a month.
September 30, 200618 yr Don't get a tall cage. Width is much more important. Here's the cage i got for my 2 budgies today: It's really really good and it was a great price - $60AU. September 30, 200618 yr I would go bigger that is ideal for one that gets alot of exercise the biggest you can afford is the best, I got a nice cage that can house 4-6 for only around 100 on e-bay. If you would like the link let me know. Bea's cage is ideal and if you go into the budgie cages forum and search you will see my cage if you do a search by my user name and many other cages too.

I'm looking for a large cage,suitable for 1-2 budgies,and don't really know where to look besides local pet stores....
