These 2 yellow face birds I got recently the mum is a spangle the dad

has normal wings, they cost me $30 each.

The breeder I got them from has been breeding

for 58 years, he is nearly 80 years old. He was a well considered

Judge when he lived in England.

The second pair, I got the grey hen from city farmers here in perth for $10

and the blue pied male from a breeder here in perth.

Gorgeous bubs. Such strong blues. No spangles from your first set? Too bad! I LOVE spangles. Looks like you have 2 YF opalines in the first bunch and a normal yellowface. I wonder if they will turn turquoise like the parents. They look cobalt now.

 

Looks like 3 cobalt clearflight pieds in the second lot. Cobalts? Greys? One normal grey? Can't wait to see more pics.

 

I'm not expert - just guessing. Lovey, Nerwen, Daz, and a few others will be able to tell you for sure.

Here's my opinion...

 

First lot... YF2 cobalt normal, and two YF2 cobalt opaline (I say YF2 because I see yellow in tail feathers)

 

Second lot. I agree with Shawna, not sure about clearflight, have to look at the body. and I think that's just a normal grey or blue, one or the other.

Shawna and Cheeta are right. In the second lot one of the pieds is either grey or mauve. But Grey would be the best answer since that is what mum is.
