Posted September 20, 200618 yr I finally got Scooter to sit on my shoulder! He's been handtamed for quite some time, but he never grasped the idea of stepping up from my finger to my shoulder. He would always just stay on my finger or he would fly off. Well, today he finally figured it out, and that is where he's currently sitting. I think he likes it. I've been walking around and he seems quite content there.
September 21, 200618 yr My daughter lets the budgies sit on her head. She suddenly jumped into the shower, without being nagged. (All you mums of teens know what I mean) I realised that the bird must have pooped on her hair. It was so hard to keep a straight face. I told her it was good luck.

April 3, 200718 yr awesome I remember with Pretty I had to feed him millet to stay there then he jumped there all the time. Merlin automatically does it because he learned from Pretty.
April 3, 200718 yr Fantastic. A lot of budgies (once they work it out) seem to love that position. You can go about your business and they get a bird's eye view (pun intended). Feathers.
August 1, 200717 yr Yay!!! Baby loves playing with our hair and earrings and necklaces when she sits on our shoulder. And I can't tell you how many times she's pooped in our hair! *(Laughing out loud)* Time will only tell if we'll ever get Cupid to go up there, let alone Psyche!
August 2, 200717 yr its great when they sit on your shulder, except when they chirp really loudly to the birds outside! It really hurts the ears!
