Shasta And Sherbet Type?

Featured Replies

Posted

Hi, :P

I finally got some decent pics of my new kids. I'd like confirmation of type...please. I think the male, Shasta, is a YFII? Even with the green Chest? And Sherbet (female?) a recessive pied? What about the pale markings?

And what kind of babies would they make if they breed next year?

Thank you so much for helping me. :angel1: :P

Shasta is a YF2, and I think Sherbet is either a greywing or dilute dominant pied.

Hey Cheeta! Thanks for responding.

:P I just found a picture of a birdie who looks just like Sherbet. I don't know how to show it to you. It is on the color/ mutation page that has been linked in this forum before. I think someone here runs it. Anyway, I looked on the page that shows combination mutations and found a opaline, recessive pied who looks just like my Sherbet. Do you know the site I am talking about? If you do, you could take a look and tell me what you think?

Thanks again,

Shell

this isn't run by someone here it's just a great site that has helped many.

A shot of your sherbt's back would help us out heaps as well.

Thanks Nerwin,

 Her back is the same as her front. No wing markings accept at the very top, all yellow. Back and rump are the same light yellow with splotches of pale green as on the chest and belly. I will try to get a picture of her back tomorrow if there is any sunshine at all.

Thanks again,

Shell
