Posted September 20, 200619 yr Good morning, My first rescue budgie, Land Pirahna, has finally decided to follow the rest of the Ling flock and come out of the cage. This is his first foray! That's the good news. I have a playgym on top that I made with Tinker Toys, a bath, food, etc...and he's happily chilling out with the rest of the keets. The joy will start once I have to bring them all back. Everyone else has no fear of hands, but Land Pirahna certainly lived up to his name the last time I had him in my hands (which was to clip his wings). Wish me luck later on, Barbara
September 20, 200619 yr Oh boy, can I empathize on this! One of mine, Anthony, who I rescued, is absolutely vicious. No problem to get him back in though...I just draw the curtains to make it a bit darker, get everybody else in their respective accomodations...and then pick him up and then he doesn't bite. But oh, if I tried that with full lighting and everybody out...my hands would be chopped liver! Good luck!
