My budgie has a habit of chewing on his wooden ladder! :dbb1:

 

He chewed right through the darn thing and now there's a hole on the steps and it's also missing a step all together!

 

He also chews the newspaper at the bottom of his cage! :ausb:

Budgies, believe it or not are prolific chewers for their little size. They will chew through woods and and of course paper. It's pretty normal. I've had many wooden ladder with rung missing because the budgies have chewed through them. try giving Paulie some fresh natural branch like bottlebrush or young eucalyptus branches to chew on. Paulie will love it!! All my budgies go nuts for a branch or two from the bottlebrush tree.. hehe. :dbb1:

I wasn't sure wether or not he'd choke.... :dbb1: sounds kind a silly now that I think of all the stuff he chews!

[eg. my carpet, hair, earings, necklace, his perch-and the list goes on!
