:dbb1: I have new kids today! :ausb: I believe she (Sherbet) or (Chiffon) is a recessive pied. She is very soft yellow with pale green patches and just a few spots of very very pale markings. One cheek patch is aqua and the other is white. The picture of her is really off because of the flash. She is not that bright and has no white. I will get more pics outside soon.

Shasta, the male is full of color. His face is yellow and his chest is kind of dark blue/green. His belly is blue and his back and rump are a saphire blue. He is much darker than the picture shows. I think he is a yellow face II with dark factor. Am I right?

Thanks

Shell

I'm glad you were able to get the pictures up. :ausb:

I think you are correct in that your blue is a yellowface type 2, but he looks normal to me (no dark factor). Your new green one also looks male to me in that picture, and from your description could be recessive pied, but it's hard to tell without seeing his whole body. If you get a chance, you know we would like to see more pictures. :dbb1:

Thanks for responding. :D I love looking at everyones pics too. Sherbet (the yellow one) has a pale blue cere and she is a young baby. I thought that meant a girl? I know the picture is bad. And the blue/green is very dark in reality. So much so that I wasn't sure he was blue enough to be a yellow face at all. I will post more pics taken outside in the sunshine. The flash really messes things up. I'm told it will be warm tomorrow so maybe I will be able to get better photos.

Thanks again,

Shell

when you take pictures put them by the natural light of the window or in the sun and you will get a more realistic coloration. I look foward to more pictures to see what they are :).

If the yellow one has a pale blue cere, then you are probably right in guessing female. It looked pink to me in the picture. I'm looking forward to more pictures - they are pretty budgies! Also, if you can turn off the flash you can still get pictures that aren't dark.
