i am going to be putting some pairs of budgies into a new avairy which is 8 feet long and 4 feet wide and 8 feet high, gable roof. it is planted with trees and grasses, [in large buried pots], and it has a flowing waterfall. i am hanging nestboxes from the walls. how many pairs could be happily living in here? i will remove the nestboxes when i want them to rest. would 12 pairs be okay? i was going to put about 20 nest boxes so the wouldnt fight. also, could i leave my king quails in there? they seem to get on well with the budgies now.

i appreciate any advice, as i dont want to make any mistakes here, as i am new to this.

12 pairs (24) birds sounds a lot if they all breed 4 young each that would 72 birds after one round my dads outside flight is 9x4x6 feet high and he has 6 breeding pairs in it but also has another flight for the young
