Posted September 16, 200618 yr I set out to bring home a blue male budgie, but I couldn't pass this one up. She (have I assumed right?) was doing all kinds of amazing acrobatics at the store and looking like she was having a ball trying to flip herself so that she was hanging on the roof, but the right way up. SO cute! See her little green necklace? Help me name her? I thought maybe Squee since that was the first noise I made when I saw her Also, she's a dominant pied, right?
September 16, 200618 yr what a cutie I actually like the name you alreadly picked. As for she I wouldn't jump to a she her cere is pretty pink it may be a boy. As for dominant or recessive we have had alot of recessives looking like dominants with no iris rings so I will leave it to someone else. He looks a bit like both
September 16, 200618 yr Aww what a cutie, I think you have a she the ring around the nares are very strong. As to mutation she looks like a dutch dominant pied but we will have to wait for iris rings to be sure.
September 18, 200618 yr Author Thanks everyone The little one is settling in nicely. She's totally unafraid of anything. Came right up to the camera for a little peek before running off to entertain herself with little acrobatics. Here's what I mean. Warning: LOTS of photos ahead. Good morning. Let me look cute for a second before I go play. Whee! Look what I can do! Uh oh, now what? Ehn! Phew. Lemme rest up. Wha..? How the heck did I get myself in this position? okay... now I'm stuck. Lemme hang here for a sec while I figure out what to do. (blurry action that my mind can't even comprehend) Yay! Success! okay, I've sat still long enough for the human to take a photo of my cute little cere. Now let's see what other positions I can get stuck in... Yarr! *attack* Wha..?! Budgies know their limits right?? I'm hoping she knows how far she can go before she breaks something. I've never met a little bird with such energy! :budgiedance: Nyahhhh!!!
