I set out to bring home a blue male budgie, but I couldn't pass this one up. She (have I assumed right?) was doing all kinds of amazing acrobatics at the store and looking like she was having a ball trying to flip herself so that she was hanging on the roof, but the right way up. SO cute!

As for she I wouldn't jump to a she her cere is pretty pink it may be a boy.

 

As for dominant or recessive we have had alot of recessives looking like dominants with no iris rings so I will leave it to someone else. He looks a bit like both

Aww what a cutie, I think you have a she the ring around the nares are very strong. As to mutation she looks like a dutch dominant pied but we will have to wait for iris rings to be sure.

Thanks everyone The little one is settling in nicely. She's totally unafraid of anything. Came right up to the camera for a little peek before running off to entertain herself with little acrobatics.
