Posted September 16, 200618 yr Please help!! In the last few weeks my budgie has been developing a nasty looking beak. I'm really worried that he might be sick. He also won't eat friut or veg and I'm not sure whether this is the problem. Most of us in the house have been away for the last few weeks and i think he may be lonely. He sits in his cage most of the time and has been very irritable and sulky. he is only about six months old and was just beginning to become very tame, however over the last few weeks he has been going backwards. I'm really worried. What should i do?
September 16, 200618 yr Does his beak look like these pictures If so he has scaly face. Depending how bad you can get Scatt at the pet store. If it isn't as bad as the pictures just wipe with baby oil on his beak, cere and legs. Paying attention not to get it in his cere.(nostrils) If it is worst it might pay to take him to an avarian vet.
