Behaviour Seems More Male Than Female?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

When I first joined this group, as a newbie to this budgie stuff, I had asked for help in determining the sex of my birds.

I was told that one of the birds in question, Billie, was a female.

A few months later and I am thinking that Billie may be a male? Behaviour is male ie: Head bobbing, singing, loud call, etc. After reading Nan's site, http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Bluffs/1958/index.html ,

I believe that Billie is certainly acting more male than female. The cere is not blue but rather a solid deep pink but there are white circles around the nostrils. Here is a new photo of her/him.

Anyone have an opinion?

thanks,

Vicki
