The 3 New Musketeers!

bobo passed away a couple of months ago and jojo was all alone and didn't seem to mind having the cage all to herself.

But 9/4/06 we purchased pud and pepe, maybe in the furture they can move in with jojo.

You can see jojo and bobo on my web page listed below.

Anyway we walked into a pet shop to purchase a new cage for our 2 new budgies (pud and pepe) and my wife found an older budgie(ozi), well guessing about 4 months old. His tail is all beat up but he looked healthy and wife wanted him, so he is in with the other 2 new ones.

Left to right pud, ozi and pepe

New cage on the left with pud, ozi and pepe, jojo in cage to the right all alone and she wants it that way.

I think jojo is a yellow face type 1??

What do you think pud, ozi and pepe are??

Thanks for your help in advance.

O ya I think my wife is trying to keep me busy as she is leaving for Okla. City to see her brother for 30 days.

Looks like I will have my hands full

They are all cute - I assume that you didn't quarantine from the way I am reading (maybe I am wrong?) You should always quarantine your new birds for 30 days from your previous one to ensure they don't bring anything home to your existing birds. Pud and Oz should be together by themselves and then Pepe unless you got them from the same store within days. Then of course Jojo should be entirely in a different room. Better to be safe then sorry I say  but to each his own.

Pud and Oz looks like grey wings, which is diluting their coloring (i think you used flash too that may have washed out the coloring). Pud looks like he has a light yellow face which would make him a Yellow Face 1 if it is not bleeding into the body color and maybe an opaline? If you could take pictures of them from the front and back when they are more relaxed.

Pepe looks like a recessive pied but I can't see the cere is it tan (female) or pink (for male)

Jono is a Yellow Faced Type 1 dominant pied (see the banding on her tummy and does she have a spot on the back of her head?)

Cute cute..

 yes I agree and there all cute as

I never put new birds with the others until 30 days as budgies are very good at hiding deceases

Yes, the 3 new ones are in the same cage and purchased from the same store, but jojo is in the same room. guess I should move her or them to another room.

pepe has a blue cere

jojo does have spot on back and head!

Pud yellow is bleeding into the body and wings

Thx, cliff

If Pepe's cere is blue and that is your green and yellow one that would make him a dominant pied

Pud would be a YF2

Jojo is a dominant pied

Yes separate them until 30 days is up.
