Hiya, managed to get a couple of videos of Oscar talking!

I'd be really interested to know if you guys can understand what he's saying or whether i can because i'm used to his gibbering!

 

In the first video near the end he says Oscar, wolf whistles then says good boy.

In the second video he says Hiya gorgeous boy give us a kiss, at the end.

1st Video I thought I heard Pretty bird and the second one Hey Gorgeous :(Laughing out loud):

 

So jealous Pretty totally stopped talking and I know he can I have proof. I hope he will try again one day .

thats a shame - did he stop when you introduced Merlin?

Yep he stopped alot of things like he started to run to the side of the cage and give me kisses and the talking too. I know he can when I talk to him he goes into that mode of listening and doing the garbling but he is around Merlin all day who doesn't even have a clue :(Laughing out loud): That is what happens when you get a 2nd sometimes and I knew but I just know he will do it again keep my hopes up.

yeah thats what i'm worried about when i get Oscar a new friend.

What happened is I believe Pretty from the start was a bird bird and I just started to form a bond but it wasn't strong enough once I got Merlin - I should have waited (now this was 9 months later it is not like I got Merlin within a couple months either.)

 

I also noticed that the ones like Bea's or Una's they had them out of the nest and they raised them from the egg they had a very strong bond with them. So I think the longer you can bond with Oscar before the 2nd it is important. I am not sure about Reibe's Bobby but he has a good bond with her still - I think he talked too. You can ask.

i'm quite close to him just now but i'm going to wait till at least after new year. I'll do a post nearer the time to find out everybody else's experiences. I'm sure pretty will talk again , then you'll be wishing that he would shut up!

I can hear Oscar's words quite clearly. Guess who else can?

That's the first time Bluey has shown an interest in the speakers. Her cere is turning quite brown now - she's just over 7 months now, I guess.

 

I was hoping for more of a Scottish accent.

ha ha yeah i don't know where he hears good boy from!! it seems to be bad boy a lot these days! :ausb:

 

Bluey - that is so cute!!! Oscar and Bluey look quite similar-i'm sure we would get some good looking babies!!!

 

As for the scottish accent i was wondering if you guys would be able to understand him! :rip: I'll need to teach him a few phrases like "och aye the noo" or "awright Jimmy!"
