Buyer Beware

This has probably happened before and will happen again...

As those of you that have read my posts will know I recently got a new budgie and I am training it. Today I put it's cage out in the patio (near the aviary) and tonight I brought him back inside.

Just as I was logging on to BBC I noticed one of his toes was stuck between a join in the cage (it has a removeable top for easy cleaning). I pulled the wire apart and the budgie jumped onto the perch. He seems to be okay, i will keep checking him often and tomorrow morning if there is a problem he will be straight to the vet.

Luckily I noticed!

I am just sending out the message to people to completely check all parts of a cage/aviary before buying...

PS Sorry about the long post

Ya i have heard of those problems always with domed shaped cages.

Thankyou for bringing this to our attention, forwarned is for-armed.

Hmm, maybe a 'Danger Alert' forum could have a very usefull place here? What do you think Adam? That way a post warning us of hidden dangers isnt going to be lost among many other posts of a totally different nature.

just a thought!

Anne
