Hello everyone I'm new here and have a question...

Do budgies make any sounds when they breed???? Because I have a pair that go in the nest box and fool around and make these weird noises that sound like they're doing something "naughty"

:(Laughing out loud): Well in the box the male will just be flirting and perhaps feeding the hen. The actally mate on the perch. The warbling that the male does gets loud and continuious when breeding.

Is this your first time breeding? what do your budiges look like?

 

Oh and I also remembered if there is any shavings or such in there the hens will dig around in it making a nest, that is a very noisy affair (i've listened to that for the last week)

Yep this is my first time breeding them...started off with one budgie...now I have four...(Laughing out loud)

:(Laughing out loud): yeah they can be noisy sometimes, that will stop once eggs appear. I can't see your pictures right now becuase of the computer I'm using but when I'm home I'll comment on your budiges. Thanks for adding some pictures, we all love them here.

I love seeing pics of other users' budgies...There are so many possibilities for colour with them its amazing...Someone should try and get black budgies...That would be really cool!!! or maybe red/pink ones...anways...*out of my dream world now* (Laughing out loud).

aww at last I see them I love sky. I'm a big fan of pieds.

 

We are getting closer to a black budgie, they now have blackface budiges that have the bars all over the head and a dark grey budgie. I haven't heard of anyone close to getting any pink looking budgies yet but those two clours are the dreams of everyone.

Beautiful birdies

I heard that pink/red budgies are impossiable because red is a prime colour and has never been seen on budgies.

Anyone who is handy with computers, it would be great to see a picture inhanced so a budgie was red.

It's still a hope and some of the violets i've seem sure look like they hold some pink in them Look at karens thread and the little girl Yasmin

Rainbow used to make this clucking sound when breeding that he never made at any other time. When you heard it you knew exactly what was going on... It's hard to describe the noise, other than it started with his regular warbling then the pitch would go a little lower and it sounded more like clucking.

(Laughing out loud) I just realized I did something with fran and skye's pics...The light blue guy is actually Fran and Skye is the dark blue one..(Laughing out loud)...I can't believe i labelled the wrong bird How sad...(Laughing out loud)...okay I fixed up the pics hopefully ..I LOVE pieds as well...There is this really pretty all-yellow female at our local pet store and I want her so bad but my dad says no more budgies pfft!!! I'd have a whole aviary if i could! heck I'd own a zoo!

OMG (Laughing out loud) that video was funny...I'm putting a webcam on my birds...the two boys for a while today to see how it works and stuff...No sounds though unfortunately...
