It Makes Me Shiver

I had given up hope on Polly and Basil. It had been 30 days since their last egg was laid, and I promised to myself that this was the day I would throw the eggs out. :D I opened up the nest box and what did I see. Two beautiful tiny babies, I was shocked but very happy! :) I can't believe after thirty days the eggs still hatched. Does anyone know why the babies took so long to hatch I had given up hope?

Is there something wrong with them, which means their not developing fast enough :D The parents have plenty of different foods plus calcium and iodine suplements.

P.S I am thrilled about my new babies! :feedbirds:

If the hen stops sitting on the eggs early in the time they just stop developing. They will be okay but the hatching will be delayed.

Congratulations on the two chicks. I hope all goes well.
