Posted August 31, 200618 yr I am thinking of puting these two birds together in the next month. What would you think I could expect in colours. Mum is a Golden Fallow and the son is this greeny yellow wingish one. The Dad to this boy was a Green Normal. Would I get any Golden Fallows? August 31, 200618 yr I think you have the wrong dad for that boy, he is a opaline spangle and to get a spangle one of the parents must be one as well. He will be carring the fallow gene from Mum which means you have a fallow X split fallow match which can prduce 50% fallow and 50% split fallow.

My records show me you are right,,, on checking my files again I found that the dad was a Yellow face light grey Spangle. I hope I do get some babies the same as the mum. Cheers for that Paul

And i am pleased with result in trying to get a baby like the mum which is a golden red eyed fallow. Well i only got one baby like the mum, she is not quite as golden as the mum and little on the small side, but hey i'm pleased. The others are spangle and opaline greens, the light green spangles look absolutely great even though the pictures dont really highlight the colours. The spangles and one of the opalines are of a real good size and shape. Well hopefully next time i may get more fallows, here's hoping. Thanks peoples. Edited November 15, 200618 yr by Paulh29
