November 9, 200618 yr The one looks like an opaline grey spangle he kind of has that look like Fluffy around the eyes? Other one is a green spangle this is what I can see from the views I have Very nice babies both of you.
November 9, 200618 yr daz, are mask bars common with spangles? my yellowface sky blue chick has faint bars on the mask and a few on the rump area, he's a visual normal though, and he's lacking most of the forehead bars, my hen(the dam to the chick) is a poorly marked spangle.
November 9, 200618 yr Hi Dingo, I'm not sure what you mean about mask bars? All spangles even Spangle opalines and Spangle Cinnamons should have Head bars as a nest feather. If you have poorly marked spangles try mating Spangle to Spangle or DF Spangle to Spangle. To really get the markings back mate Spangle to Malenistic Spangle. The Spangle Grey and Spangle Light Green were the out come of Spangle grey green to Spangle grey green. The out come could have been Spangles in Light green, Grey, Greygreen or Double Factor in White or Yellow. This was their first clutch so I am give them another round.
November 10, 200618 yr I edited your picture so you can sort of see what I mean. it's real light lacing on the mask, I wasn't breeding this past clutch for spangle, but I would have been happy to get one.

Oh you mean the spots. Yes Spangles should show the spots. But like the marking in some they are hard to bring back.
November 10, 200618 yr Oh you mean the spots. Yes Spangles should show the spots. But like the marking in some they are hard to bring back. do you still call them spots even though it's just a faint lacing on the edge of the mask feathers? my male chick has a spot on either side and the lacing. I'm just confused as I've never seen chicks before now with markings like this on the mask. :ausb:
November 10, 200618 yr Author yes they are still called throat spots :ausb: Spangles these days have a line just like the wings. When the Variety first showed up it was a clear circle (kinda like you drew on the picture.)
