Daz with the first egg you gave me did any of the chicks become cobalt or yellowface cobalt?? OR where they all sky blues?

 

The two close together Storm and Darel (who i think is yours) are colouring differently. Storm is a whitehead with dark feathers showing around the tail (cobalt) while Darel is a yellowface with light teal showing around the tail now.

 

I was wondering if the dark factors will be the key to telling them apart for sure. Right now it is only my feeling about the longer tail length that was showing before and the 1gram differance in weight.

Most were cobalts. Majority were yellowfaced.

...have to agree with yoy Bubbles, they are two very fine chicks. :hap:

:(Laughing out loud): those two and Opal where having a ball looking around at everything that day.

 

I did at one stage have both Kazza and Minka in my hands, if only I had a third arm to have taken a picture they were so so cute.

 

Uncovered them today and found a little some one checking out the place in Marine and Tooties cage : Tingle!

 

He didn't wish to get collected at first but I got him and gave a cuddle befure popping him back in the box.

Well I have to keep Darel and Storm ( since i'm only 98% sure I have them the right way around) and either Kazza or Minka from the other box, but I'm leaning towards Kazza.

 

Came home from tafe to find Tingle out again He is only on the ground no balancing on perches yet. He was right beside Marine at the seed dish so I think he is okay, no at all sure when he got out again.

 

I'm going to have to start to advertise baby budgies soon

I have a feeling 'he' (still not yet sure of sexes) will be the first to go.

Just a thought - is Storm the only one with a white face? Were all of the babies from Marine and Tootie's first clutch yellowfaces? Maybe Storm is the one that you got from Daz if together Tootie and Marine have only produced yellowfaces.

Nope both Berry and Echo where whitefaces from the other clutch. Also I think Opal is a white face as well.

 

No bubs out today that I saw, Late last night Cupid had a little look around after I put him in the seed dish after the afternoon cuddle. Tingle is very cute Hurdy not as dark in colour as I thought he might turn out as.
