Congratulations Nerwen. which one is that in relation to the eggs I gave you. it's hard for an old bloke like me to keep up.

 

One of the chicks that Jazz is looking after hatched this morning.. I don't know whick one it is. It could be that one of DG's eggs got hidden or miss counted. All of jazz's eggs are unhatched and Bob and Liza's is not hatched. The chick has black eyes so I know it couldn't be theirs...

 

I am going to rate it as a DG chick untill it feathers. I'll know then. But the main thing is it is being care for.

Thank guys, yes Kirby that is his/her name, I picked way way way back when I candled the egg and saw the heartbeat for the first ever time

 

Daz your egg is number 4/5 This is only number 1. So around the 29th that one is due to hatch

well I was hoping this would happen Baby Number Two, from here on in dubbed Tingle was hatched this morning I camera lived just long enough for me to snap some piccies this morning before the batteries died, so I have to wait for them to charge up before showing you the pictures.

 

WOOHOO Ash has an egg, we his partner does Fingers crossed he got something done this time Daz.

 

and the one in the picture with the four babies is that your opaline male and spangle grey-green hen pair? The nest box has num 16 on it

Edit: 3rd DG egg hatched but the chick didn't survive . :ausb: 2 chicks out of four eggs. 4 eggs yet to hatch in that clutch.

Tootie is takeing great care of them, got to watch her feed yesterday, tryed to take a short film of that but it's too dark in the box to see anything but her back. :ausb:

It loks like the Spangles have stoped at 4 eggs. Good. I decided last night to place one of my kept eggs with them. It looks like this morning that they have accepted it.

 

The egg was laid 1 - 2 weeks ago and has been kept dry and cool in a box in my office. I didn't want to throw it out so decided to see what would hapen if it was kept this way and then fostered.
