Posted August 28, 200618 yr Hello, I am about to ring someone who sells budgies and on their ad was the term, 'club rung'. I was able to find out what pied is, know what 'breeders' and all those fairly recognisable terms mean but what does club rung mean? Is there a list of commonly used terms on this site? I bet club rung means something really obvious and I'll cringe when I realise how little I do know!
August 28, 200618 yr Club rung generally refers to the larger show variety budgies that have been bred by a responsible breeder who keeps track of his birds by placing numbered rings on the legs and keeping good breeder records. He should be able to tell you its parentage by the records he keeps. He would most likely have its hatch date as well. Edited August 28, 200618 yr by Bubbles
August 28, 200618 yr Oh thank you! I was worried about not getting healthy birds after the painful experience with Foobles. I guess this person will be okay. And here I was thinking, rung? Who do you have to ring to buy a budgie! Told you I was pea green
August 28, 200618 yr Thanks, I'll let the forum know what we get. The man whose birds they are isn't there now so his wife took a message. She asked me if I wanted any kind of bird in particular. I said, well a healthy one would be great. It wasn't what she meant.
