After posting on here about Bluey liking to snuggle in my armpit I then read on here about snuggle huts and thought a european facewasher might do the trick. The first video (no sound) is Bluey's introduction to the facewasher..."if it's on mum's knee it must be okay"...before she decides to come and get the camera...

Next I decided to put her favourite ball in the facewasher and put it on top of her cage while holding it because I just knew she'd go ape (with sound)...please note no budgies were harmed in the making of this video.

After that roaring success Bluey has abandoned the facewasher and has now adopted an empty tissue box.

I hope she doesn't start laying eggs in there. It does look a bit 'nestbox-ish'.

We have a snuggle hut and Pretty will sit on top of it sometimes in the morning but it is a rare occasion.

 

Terri mentioned on one post that they can get protective over it and I would think if female that you would have to be careful for nesting behavior.

 

I keep it in the cage I have no problems with the boys with it.
