Posted August 15, 200619 yr I was given a budgie today by a neighbour who's father recently died. Her father owned the budgie and she had no interest in caring for him so I took him immediately and brought him home. She is similar in colour to Sunny Boy and I have named her Lily as she did not have a name or at least my neighbour did not know her name. She is not tame but I will work with her daily to see if I can tame her. I do not know how old she is and I am assuming that she is in fact a she because her cere is brown and a bit crusty. They are in separate cages and I will keep them that way for a month and then slowly introduce them to see if they get along. I am so happy that she was given to me because the cage was filled with poop and looked like it had not been cleaned since her owner passed away. I will post pictures of her soon :ygbudgie: Edited August 15, 200619 yr by kaykay

August 19, 200619 yr Lily has settled in nicely, she is still afraid of me but she is singing and eating all of her fruits and vegetables like a good little birdy...hoping to tame her in time.
