Oh my goodness!!! That's amazing! He's got the best balance!! That is one of the funniest things I've seen...:D That bell had NO chance!!! :D

was the yellow thing on the side her manager?? (Laughing out loud) I thought it was funny as she rushed over to tell it off too.

Glad you havn't got the bell now no matter how much she liked it. But very cute video.

:D:D:D:D That second one is hilarious! What a vicious budgie!!! :P:P:P

I agree the 2nd one is great I really love her footwork :(Laughing out loud):

that was great .. i was laughing histerically!

What is wrong with bells? :(

Great videos! I haven't heard any horror stories about bells. Can someone please share some information so I can make an informed choice, please? Is it just certain types of bells?

(Laughing out loud). Those are adorable. I love it when they grab the toy with their feet but it does seem like cheating a bit. :(Laughing out loud):

bluey, that particular type of bell is dangerous because of the little slits that could trap/injure a beak. Most bells with clappers (and made for birds) are safer.

:hap: Thanks Terri. That makes me wonder if a toy I have for Bluey, with a green wooden bead, nylon threads and bell with slit on top is not the best thing for him? He luuuuurves it.

Any of the "jingle bell" type bells are dangerous for the reason eterri mentioned, but I think even more so because budgie toes fit in there much to easily...once in the bird panics because his toe is caught. Budgies have lost toes because of them. They can rip the toe right off when jerking it away from the bell (the edges are very sharp compared to toes), or even chew it off in their panic to get away from the "predator". That was my concern when I saw the video, especially since he kept grabbing it with his foot. I'm glad he doesn't have that kind of bell anymore.

But dangers aside, he really was ripping into it, wasn't he?

Sorry for hijacking your thread Chrysocome.:P

Thanks Rainbow. We had a lace cloth on the table near Bluey's cage and I saw him get a claw caught just the once (and yank himself free) so now the tablecloth is banned! :glare:

OMG that is hillarious! Fits of laughter!!! :hap: That is so cute - what a character - I reckon the bell got in a couple of sneaky shots thought!!!
