Posted August 13, 200619 yr Today I went to a bird sale and bought 7 new budgies!!!!! They are so cute!!! I have only named one. The green one Slimey!!! I even went out and bought them a huge new cage to spend their Q time in. My babies have to be comfortable. So here are some pics of them. Introducing.........................SLIMEY AND THE GANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is Slimey!!!! This guy has a really faint green through his front and back This one has very faint blue through the body and back but when glanced looks white This lil one may be pretty young yeah? August 13, 200619 yr Oh they are all gorgeous here is my take on them, someone else will come in too and give their ideas. Slimey is gorgeous - spangled pied male 2nd one looks like a Dark Eyed Clear if it gets an iris ring it would be a Double factor Spangle - male 3rd looks female to me because the cere being a lighter blue with white nostrils and I would say around 3-4 months 4th one looks like another Dark Eyed Clear unless again it gets the iris rings and it would be a DF Spangle - male 5. looks female age around 4 months? looks like another Dark Eyed Clear or DF spangle if it gets the iris rings. 6. is a cute normal? any pied spot on the back of the head? Who is number 7 I am missing him/her
August 14, 200619 yr Author Thanks lovey you are sooo clever!!!! There is no spot on her so she must be a normal. There are 2 white ones the young one and then the one in the'what you lookin at' picture. Then the white with faint blue. I'm thinking of breeding some of them once they get out of Quarantine. When i got up this morning they were all playing and singing. I think they love their new home!!!!!
August 14, 200619 yr Number two and 4 should be DF spangles becuase the cere's have changed to blue rather than staying the pink like number 5 and 7. They all look great, now why can't I find a place where I can buy up big

August 16, 200619 yr Yes that would make him a Dominant Pied check out Merlin's spot his is big but they can vary in size.
