One New Bird

Well I found an nice male bird that I felt I couldn't leave behind, even though I wasn't wanting to buy a bird here or a bird there but rather get all the ones I want from one place but after almost a month of hunting and getting no luck that way I gave up on the idea. And i might be lucky in a few weeks of this fellow having a few more for sale.

I got but on to this breeder, three steps down. A person Knew a bloke that was breeding and after call him he told me about this guy and a quick visit that ended up over an hour ;) I felt he was one that really cared for his birds, his cages where spotless, apart from the spilt seed which would only have been from that day since it wasn't much. And all the birds looked nice and not squashed in. I will not mention names and such since it's his right to have that spread around but thoses near me and PM for more info if needed.

I'm sure if he had one hen free I would have brought more there was two I was looking at and almost gave in to take both but I kept getting drawn to the one I took and finally decided to only take him.

I will of cuase have better pictures later, it was late when I got back and only wanted to be sure he was settled for the night.

genetic followers try out his mutation and colour :budgiedance:

Also no name has come to me yet so come forth with ideas.

I'm only guessing, ;) but I would say olive green opaline spangle? Or just a normal spangle?

And possibly a dilute, judging by the faded throat spots (?).

Whatever he is, he's gorgeous :budgiedance:, as as for names, well Oliver comes to mind...

you got normal spangle correct, the faded spots from the spangle gene. Olive is close ;)

He's a very handsome boy Nerwen. I, too, found a boy budgie today I couldnt say no to ;)

Very handsome I would have went with olive (since his check patches are blue) too but since you said no I would say a grey green spangle boy and if it is a grey green telll the difference between the olive and the grey green again.

Oliver Twist comes to my mind, I know you usually use more unique names ;)

Here are a few others: Twister, Pickle, Pogo, Corky, Paco, Digit, Cory, Gurdy, Rascel, Tex, Donald, Jack, Winston, Sprite, Yin, Yang

YAY RINGO!!!! YOU WILL BE NO LONGER A TRAMPY HEN!!! :) (Laughing out loud)

I Love him Nerwen! ;) What about the names:

Archie, Pablo, Gabriel, Lucas, Zeus, Cheeko, Cheeky, Shamu, Mickey, Gerry, Teddy, Billy, Lance, Austin, Seth, Anwar, Slavco, Demetri, Petrie, Peter Pan, Simon, Legolas, Koda, Silken, Sasha, Clyde, Mango, Tango, Arnold, Denny, Pepi, Pal, Sisqo, Aries, Duke, Dude, Lokie, Lilo, Nemo, Marlin, Spike, Spud, Oscar, Furby, Toaster, Kettle, Yolkie, Ditto, Noah, Perry, Landen, Hercules, Hank, Bear, Petey, Junoir, Walker, Cameo, Chris, Lennox, Ralph, Kemo, Banjo, Beauty, Halo, Oliver, Kiwi, Sampson, Graham, Aspen, Pine, Cedar, Pisqawlie, Luigi, Marvin, Hero, Aero, Sandy, Bingo, Regi, Rege, Eli, Sundae, Lionel, Taz, Benjamin, or Toby?

Kirby :)

He's very cute. Do you know how old he is? Is he a cinnamon or is it just the lighting?

sorry Like I said the pictures are not the best, the light gave a red wash to a lot of the pictures. He is a grey-green spangle. I got to see his father and sister too ( think they where the ones it might have been brother) who are both breeding at the moment. The sister is a yellow DF spangle :)

Lovey you are right grey-greens have a grayish cheek patch rather than a strong blue (deep blue/violet) cheek patch of a Olive.

Name I like so far:

Twister, Digit, Demetri and Banjo. Wondered about R2D2 ( or just R2)

Do you know how old he is?
forgot to ask for his exact age but he is over a year. His ring is red like Pie's so they might be the same age. ;)

edit- i just saw his ring better and found out it's not red but purple. I can't find that colour on the list of years :) I'm not going to handle him now but later I'll try to read the number. nd just after typing that I remember the guy wrote out his ring info for me and the parents. His ring is CB 450 -5. I'm sure daz can read that for me :hap: but I think it means he was born last year.

Casper, Spook, and Kruger is really good as Lisa said.......also -5 stands for 05 so last year's bird for birthdate. :P

Regal Oliver? Oliver Regal? Hmmmm so many names to come up with. Olive or Oliver seem appropriate because of his coloring (hence why I named Cloud after the white patch on his torso hehehehe).

Teehee I like Kruger but I've had a family member offer Cyrus for him which suits well But things are still in the air (Laughing out loud).

Name him Friday (as in 13th). Not too creepy to say it out loud, but will give you a third "13".

Thank you all for the name Idea but I think he is going to be ......

Kree

Yes I can see all the "huh" looks around the world right now :) I'm a stargate fan and at the moment making my way through all 8 seasons on DVD. The day after we got this fellow my family was joking with stargate names and I said what about "Kree" as a laugh but it suited and even after trying out all other names this one kept coming up. :o For those that don't know Kree actully means "pay attention" or "listen up"

He is gorgeous Nerwen - I quite like Kree! Suits him!!
