For such little creatures, they've got tons of personality - & so diverse too! My two can't bear to be apart, & if they can't see each other, will call & squawk til they get back together. From the moment they saw each other, they've been 'beak to beak'!!

Is it because Merlin takes over the female role? Even feeding Pretty will only feed Merlin not the other way, and Merlin will beg him too sometimes.

 

Your right Merlin is in heaven it is so peaceful watching them do this because Pretty lets out low chirps too - a calming a affect on both birds I believe.

Awe, look at them. Those are sweet pics. I think sometimes the younger birds will accept the preening more than the older birds. Merlin doesn't look baby anymore with his baby bars gone and blue cere. Gosh they mature physically so fast!

I know Shawna and he really is still my wee baby, I call him my Little Merlin :(Laughing out loud): even though he is bulker then Stinky Pretty
