Posted August 7, 200618 yr Hi everyone! Just came by to show you my 3 new yellow face clones. They are the result of the second round of Hypnos and Selene’s nest. I posted before about their first round, as you can see in this thread: 10300 These 3 new babies where born on 3 different days, yet, now that they are out of the nest and are already eating by themselves, I just can’t tell one from the other…… I can’t say witch is the oldest or the youngest, or the middle one for that matter!! Here are two pics: On this one I didn’t use a flash (so this one shows true colours) On this second one I used a flash light (so colours are more vivid and darker then in reality) I do hope you like my 3 new little clones!
August 7, 200618 yr aww and they all look like girls so they are going to stay hard to work out :(Laughing out loud): Stunning colours.

August 8, 200618 yr Hi Australia, USA, Czech Republic, Canada and Scotland, greetings from Portugal! (Laughing out loud) Just realized how international our “little” forum is! I’m so happy you all liked my 3 yellow faced “triplets”. I would gladly give one to Kirby and another to WoodieCloud, if you guys weren’t living so far away, cause in the beginning of this year I was the proud owner of 8 budgies…. now I’m the proud owner of 21! No more couplings and nests till at least 2010! I haven’t chosen their names yet, but I would like to thank Bubbles for her very funny suggestion. This is Hera, the older sister of the triplets, she was the result of the first round. She is looking more and more like a big girl!
August 8, 200618 yr Hera is STUNNING!!! I like the names Azul (meaning ocean), Aqua, and Ariel for them... If not those, how about Mindy/Cindy/Bindy, Hope/Faith/Grace, Maya/Mika/Mina, Jazzie/Annie/Bonnie, Percy/Purdy/Pearl, Sophie/Nelly/Nike, Melon/Apple/Peach, Coral/Ocean/Dori, or Jamie/Maggie/Emma...? I like Coral/Ocean/Dori the best for them Kirby
August 8, 200618 yr YAY Nerwen! (Laughing out loud) What about you LusoPeriquito... Kirby :budgiedance:
August 8, 200618 yr They are all just lovely! What a surprise! I just love the three twins - such a soft color. Just beautiful. When I had the twin greywings, the only way I could tell them apart was to look at their wing markings, as the pattern was slightly different on them, and also the longest tailfeather was different. I found the tailfeather was easiest, because I kept forgetting which bird had the narrower shell markings! There is probably something unique in a marking somewhere on each bird - you just have to find it. Oh yeah, and then remember it, LOL!
August 9, 200618 yr Hera is STUNNING!!! I like Coral/Ocean/Dori the best for them :budgiedance: Kirby :fear Hi Kirby! Thank you, I really liked your suggestions, and I’m considering a “mix” There are a few coincidences that I found really funny (funny = (Laughing out loud))… I’ll explain: Did you know that “Azul” in Portuguese (my birth language) means “Blue” (meaning the colour)? And “Ocean” means the same thing as in English (sea) but is spelled “Oceano”… I usually didn’t give names to my budgies, but when I became a member on this forum some of you guys convinced me otherwise, so I decided to use Greek and Roman Gods names for my feathered friends, and one of your suggestions, “Nike”, is the name of a greek deity… the goddess of Victory, and she is usually depicted with wings and a flowing robe!! I found that another of your names, “Maya”, is the name of a Caribbean deity!! She is the Voodou rain goddess. Because I liked the “ocean” suggestion I tried for something in that area, there were a lot of male names, but I finally got to “Asherah”, a Middle-Eastern deity. She is a Mother Goddess and her name means “She who walks upon the sea”. So, if they really turn out to be 3 girls, I think I will go with: Nike, Maya, and Asherah. :hap:
August 9, 200618 yr So beautiful. I recently saw a beautiful male baby that looks just like your budgies trio. I wanted to get him but with a house full of company this month I didn't think it was wise. I'm so so tempted to go and get him now because they are just gorgeous!!!! August 9, 200618 yr YAY Luso! I love those names! And i love how out of everyone on this forum, you said you use to NOT name them, but now, your the one whot hinks the most deep into the names we suggest.. I LOVE IT! (Laughing out loud) :ausb: Good job, they are a gorgeous trio! Kirby
August 10, 200618 yr So, if they really turn out to be 3 girls, I think I will go with: Nike, Maya, and Asherah. wink.gif I love them Great hunting out for names that match well.
August 10, 200618 yr Those are gorgeous budgies with really creative names!!! Puts my poor Oliver to shame!! Oliver beacause he is olive hahahah My new budgies which I hope to get in the next few weeks will have more meaningful names hahaha
August 10, 200618 yr I’m happy that you all liked my choices. I believe that when you decide to do something, you should do it well, so I do put a little effort when I choose their names. I really like history and archaeology, that’s why I decided to go with Greek and Roman deity names, but I could just as well have gone with names of movie characters, because I really appreciate cinema. In fact I will be going to see “Superman Returns” today, so don’t be surprised when I announce that my next budgie’s name will be KAL-EL!!! Cheeky don´t worry I came up with the greatest solution for you. From now on you can always allege that you named Oliver after “Oliver Twist” and say that you are a great fan of classical literature!
August 10, 200618 yr Nice names I have a budgie called Mayo (boy). Some people think it sounds like a shortcut for mayonnaise , but it's actually boy version of Maya :
