Posted August 6, 200619 yr Hi all, I'm happy to say that Gimpy has just received his next dose of medicines. Gimpy had a spirited fly around the lounge whilst I scrubbed and steralised his cage and toys (and in his heat it was no fun (Laughing out loud)). Unusually, the Gimps was actually quite easy to catch tonight. He had this usual squalk, followed by "I'm out of here" but soon gave up and let me handle him. He was as good as gold as I held him and Donna (my fiance) applied his lotions. He's now in his cage looking a little scraggy but content and tired out after his fly. Pics below. 1. The Gimpster chilling on the carpet. 2. Gimps back in his cage after his lotion. 3. Gimpy chilling out conspiring to get revenge on me! Fingers crossed this batch does the job or he'll be off to the vets again. No fingers will be spared next time Thanks for all the supportive messages for Gimpy, he deserves them, he's a great little bird. I'll keep you posted. Vern.
August 6, 200619 yr what a beautiful coloration Gimpy is I don't think I have seen that anywhere with all the mutations that are posted here. Glad he is getting better.
August 7, 200619 yr Hey nice to hear some GOOD news about a bird getting better!!!! (Laughing out loud) Gimpy is a cutie patootie! I'm sure that bird will be as good as new in a few more days or weeks.
September 19, 200618 yr Hi all, Appologies for not updating for so long but my PC died and it's taken a while to ressurect it. A quick update on the Gimpster. I am very happy to report that the nasty mites are now GONE from the Gimp and he is back to full health. Infact, Gimpy is more lively than ever. Constant noise now emmits from his cage and he is one happy bird. I'll try and get some pics posted shortly, but needless to say, he is one sexy little budgie! Vern.
