Pleas help! My Friends budgie pulled it feather halfway out and its bleading and my friend dosnt know what to do. Niether do i and i dont want to pull it out yet and make it blead more. What should we do about the feather cause it bothering him.

It needs to come out, it will continue bleeding until it is removed. Get the bird off to the vet, who will remove it very quickly.

Its not bleeding anymore it stopped shortly after he hurt himself. It's more of a bother to him then anything else. Can we just remove it ourselves. Other than the odd feather he looks and acts completly normal until it rubs or bumps into anything then he just fixes his wings like if you were to ruffle them up.

Everytime he knocks it, it will bleed again. You can remove it yourself, I can't do that myself! so wait until someone comes on to tell you how.

You can remove a broken blood feather yourself. You need someone to hold the bird and hold and support the wing. You need a strong pair of forceps, grip the feather close to where it grows from and pull it out..(taking great care to support the wing properly). You may need to apply some cornstarch (or cornflour) to the area if bleeding starts up again. Keep budgie warm so it doesn't go into shock.
