Talullah Has Bright Green Sloopy Poo!

Featured Replies

Posted

okay, so today i noticed Talullah has fairly bright green sloppy poo in her cage.

I havent given her anything unusual and the only difference i can think of is that she had a honey bell which she finished in 2 weeks :P and now that its gone shes had to go back to her normal food which she wasnt touching before. Shes been back on normal food for a few days (this was her choice not mine By The Way, i always had adequate food available and no i wont be getting her another honey bell for quite some time...).

Other than that everything is the same as ever.

She is allowed out and comes out every evening but i generally see what shes up to so i dont think shes gotten into anything.

Is there anything i shoudl be worried about? can this just happen from time to time? she is in the cage right next to pepsi atm, shoudl i move them further away or anything? any thoughts Thanks

Helen :fear ;)

It could be from the honey bell but I wouldn't think so if she had it for 2 weeks. What I do with my 2 is I only give them a honey bell out of the cage for a treat and I don't keep it in there because they would abuse it too. So just a suggestion for next time :fear.

If it doesn't go back to normal within 24 hours I would be making an appointment at the avian vet because bright green poo can sometimes be caused I believe from a possible liver issue.
