I am so excited. last night Flash stepped up, and let me carry him across the room. He then crawled up my shirt and onto my shoulder for quite a while. I felt the occasional tug on my hair. He also chirruped to the birds outside the window. I tried to get him on my shoulder this morning...and he wants to be left alone

 

Oh well... it was way more than I expected on day 2. I wonder if this lil guy was hand raised...I bought him at Petco

Very cool, how exciting. To get Pretty go hop on my shoulder, when he would go up there I would give him a treat of millet it works wonders .

Thats so cool he trusts you. I've tried to tame one of my chicks, but it just didn't work . But I have one pet shop budgie which I never tried to tame and she just eats from my hand, sits on me for ages and plays - I think she is just very clever and knows that ME = FOOD

Oh, Im so happy for you! I know what it feels like when your in-training bird dose something very special and bonds with you- as a matter of fact, this is day 2 in taming with my keet too! She is perched on my shoulder right now, from time to time she will twitter to me and preen herself and nibble my hair. But... she leaves quiet a mess back there! Dont give up on this, your bird will become quiet found of its newly discovered "tree"...
