Smudge..my New Boy

I posted a bit about Smudge in the introduce yourself section, but didn't have any pictures of him. Had him a couple of months now. He's hand tame but only been out of his cage a few times as I have been intermittently away from home and because for a while he was too scared to come out even when we left the door open for him.

Not long after I got him (Poor quality as taken with camera phone)

Look at the pretty colours! Smudge is a yellowface type II I believe (from seeing other pictures on this forum)...in some places he is practically kingfisher type turquoise

Before Smudge I had another male called Pip, whom I had for ten years. Incredibly tame, he was a wonderful friend with a lovely playful nature. He did however take a shine to human food, particularly toast. Here is my favourite picture of him. I had made scones at school that day and he decided that he liked the look of the one my mum had, flew onto her head, slid down her nose and landed on the scone and proceeded to munch away...

This scone is mine now!!

RIP my beautiful boy

:D I like Smudge's wing patterns, they really stand out. Hope he will turn out to be a great companion for you like Pip! My cockatiel loves toast as well and starts yelling when she hears the toaster bell but she only gets it once a week. :ausb:
