I just thought I ought to let you guys see some of my budgies. Not all of them as I can't really put up more than 30 pictures!

This is not a budgie but I she is still part of the 'gang'. It's my quail (you can't see her very well throught the wire) Xena.

They are gorgeous! Hercules looks so 'regal'....like he's the king of the castle! :(Laughing out loud):

beautiful and I agree Hercules is so majestic/regal looking

Lovely, Hercules is stunning. Is that an accurate representation of his colour? His cheek patches are so purple. I like the last picture too. What is the mutation of that bird - DEC???

:ausb: Loverly budgies, all of them! :D

Your birds look great :ausb: . I like the first budgie the most.

I don't know much about genetics but he's almost all white. He's just got a bit of blue on his throat area. What does DEC mean? As for Hercules, The colours are pretty much correct although he is more highlighter except for his cheek patches, they are less vibrant and darker.

Here is a great place to learn about mutation if you want http://www.geocities.com/budgie-place/p_colors.html

here is a description of a DEC http://www.geocities.com/budgie-place/p_colors.html#darkeyed

Hope that helps :ausb:

Shawna I think I would go more with double factor pied because the DEC's cere stays pink as a boy and this birds cere is blue, plus he has the blue coloration on his body.

Thanks Lovey, I can see the blue now (my work computer) - my monitor at home must be bad because it looked completely white to me and most budgies are looking cinammon these days. Time for a new one I guess.
