September 23, 200618 yr Author We have new babies too. The pair Rocky (mauve cinnamon) and Bunty (DF violet) have a third baby. Baby number one is fine but they lost baby no 2 (albino) and now baby number three has arrived. This other pair have two babies...a new one arrived earlier today Another pair I havent photos of have a newborn too. Their first newborn is in with another mother as it went too long without its first feeding. They ARE feeding baby number two. First baby being fed and looked after by my cinnamon lone mother. She has two adopted babies. Saturn and Pluto have been put in the holiday camp aviary as they started to neglect their babies. Their pied babies are in with Ty and Di's family and being well fed.
September 24, 200618 yr Sounds like your newest babes are doing fine, that's great! As for Charlie.........I get vibes from him, please get him a great home, still wish I could have him. :ausb:
September 24, 200618 yr Author Four puppies left at home. Charlie and Oscar still to find new homes. I will take some pikkies of Charlie for you Phoebe. We actually had the mother CRICKET at the vets today. She has lost the function of her pancreas to produce the enzymes to digest properly. She passes everything she eats straight through, and her droppings were almost pure fat. She had an oily coating to her rear end and greasiness to the feathering on her legs and has dropped 1 kilo in weight over a fortnight. Her condition is Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency and she must be on an artificial enzyme product to be added to her food for the rest of her life. The vet says it is common in German Shepherds and some other breeds and seems to have no real cause. They are noticing that it occurs through the summer months and may be allergy related. He says its manageable but she now has it for the rest of her life much like diabtetes is. We collect her medicine tomorrow and that is sprinkled on her food every meal, given a few minutes to activate and then she can eat. Cricket is now a gold plated dog as she has cost us around $2000 over some weeks....but she is worth every cent Edited September 24, 200618 yr by Bubbles

September 25, 200618 yr they are just so adorable i can't wait till i have the responsibilty for taking care of chicks one day i know it will be amazing i still want yasmini have my eyes on her :glare:
September 25, 200618 yr I'm guessing Kaya's baby (it looks like Cinnamon wings). Then again, Prince split for Cinnamon (so the baby would be a girl). Â I've forgotten how spangle works... If both parents are spangle, wouldn't they only get spangle babies (and DF spangle)?? IF that's the case then it's obviously not Prince and Maceys. :glare: Â Just my two cents.. I just woke up, so my brain cells aren't working yet... :fear

With Jonas and Melon who are both spangles we got a greywing and a normal as well as spangles.
September 25, 200618 yr there is still a small chance of a baby from two spangles getting both the normal genes from the parents. Â Karen can you remind me of Kaya's partner and if she has ever had blue babies before? Â The bub look like a blue opaline and could be cinnamon.

Kayas other half is Sonny who is a YF2 spangle and yes they have had blue babies before, Markings on this chick look cinnamon to me too.
September 25, 200618 yr I didn't think two spangles produce only spangle babies. I got it confused with double spangles pair. Â well Karen, I think we might have problem deciding which chick belongs to which parents.
