August 10, 200618 yr Author oh what adorable puppies will be thinking of you both tomorrow Thanks very much Cosmo. I cannot stop staring at the pups. Little piggies are full on at the dairy bar. On another note, we had yet another baby budgie fledge today.... this one of Ciaras http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f8/kaz_d...er/aug06165.jpg and another new baby in the aviary to Chips (creamino) and her dom pied boy. Tell Ken we will keep him in our prayers. What a night - glad everyone is well.. Thanks Elly. I am very tired as I spent all of last night awake keeping an eye on Cricket. Cat napped on the sofa here and there but not much sleep at all. I have passed on everyone's good wishes and thought s to Ken as they have come in and much appreciate the support. Lin sent him a lovely email which he has printed out and carries with him. It meant a lot. Thanks Lin :angel1: Edited August 11, 200618 yr by Nerwen
August 10, 200618 yr Having just seen Cricket last week, I can vouch for the fact that she didn't look like she had more than 3 pups in there! She was hiding them from us all The little one that Nerwen pointed out Karen, is that a boy or girl? My thoughts are with Ken, especially for tomorrow. Please let him know that I am thinking of him in this time.
August 10, 200618 yr :(Laughing out loud): don't joke Nerwen you have the ability to take one of those cute, grunty, puppy breath smell, ohhhhh so sweet babies home in 6 weeks But again, make sure you put the baby in bubble wrap so he doesn't get bumped around too much and did I forget throw in a couple of traveling companions (budgies are perfect) Well not really Lovely, I am on the other side of the country again Well, they all are - but that one just keeps drawing my eye - but it's Nerwen's now. I will bubble wrap her for you, and ensure lots of food, ummm budgies are in the box too Thanks Lin Now don't foget the "Zuess" food is the best. :(Laughing out loud): Boy what fun with the first one I'm glad it worked out in the end. He is a special man then. Are you keeping his name for now since your friend changed her mind? My thoughts and Best wishes with you today.
August 11, 200618 yr Author The little one that Nerwen pointed out Karen, is that a boy or girl?My thoughts are with Ken, especially for tomorrow. Please let him know that I am thinking of him in this time. The little pup Nerwen pointed out is the litle girl born last and the one that looks just like Cricket. I would like to keep her, but we have orders for 3 females and maybe we can't keep this one. We shall see. She has the same markings on her head as Cricket. Ken appreciates your caring for him at this time Lin. I am sure he is saving a special hug for you next time he sees you Congrats on the adorable puppies.. will be thinking of you and Ken tomorrow. Thanks Pixie. I am sure Ken will have a hard time at the funeral. But time heals all Boy what fun with the first one I'm glad it worked out in the end. He is a special man then. Are you keeping his name for now since your friend changed her mind?My thoughts and Best wishes with you today. Thanks for the kind thoughts Jenni re funeral today. That little boy pup that my friend named may as well keep the name for now. She only picked the boy cos he was first born and not a girl and we thought Cricket only had another 2 pups inside according to the vet. Knowing all girls would have been spoken for she chose the boy. She has an aged dog and wanted one of Crickets last pups and that didnt happen so this time she gets one. Will keep her old dog Penny on her toes Here is the six puppies with their Mum Edited August 10, 200618 yr by Bubbles

August 11, 200618 yr The little pup Nerwen pointed out is the litle girl born last and the one that looks just like Cricket. That must have been why we where drawn to her lin

August 12, 200618 yr Author We have 11 or 12 fledglings out in the nursery section of the aviary floor right now keeping each other company. They are cracking seed and nesting together, exploring and having a good time in company. Some of the Dad's have visited and fed a few babies, but mostly they are self sufficient. Here is Swifts baby (fallow?) and other babies, all colours of the rainbow
August 12, 200618 yr Swift's baby looks Lacewing now to me http://www.geocities.com/budgie-place/p_colors.html#lacewing All the other babies are so cute and so many different mutations to look at - glad they are all healthy. Here is Fallow http://www.geocities.com/budgie-place/p_colors.html#fallow
August 12, 200618 yr Author It's hard to work out....as they are very similar colour descriptions. Also the spangle part apparently of it changes the normal look of the wings in a fallow, if it is a fallow. There is such a thing as a light green opaline spangle fallow as compared to a light green opaline fallow. Fallow Yellow (Light Green): Mask: yellow, ornamented by six evenly spaced large round brown throat spots, the outer two being partially covered at the base by cheek patches. Cheek patches: violet. General body colour: back, rump, breast, flanks and underparts, yellowish green. Markings: on cheeks, back of head, neck and wings, medium brown on a yellow ground. Eyes: red or plum. Tail: long feathers, bluish grey. The Red Eyed Lacewing Budgie: This budgie is either all white or all yellow with light brown wing patterns. They possess pale purple cheek patches with cinnamon brown tails. They have dark red eyes with a light iris ring. The yellow variety is called the Yellow Red Eyed Lacewing and the white is the White Red Eyed Lacewing. I have a person who breeds show budgies and specialises in lacewings so I will send her the photos and see what she says. I DO know that my white lacewing (Ming) didnt actually show up as a lacewing until her first moult when her cinnamon markings showed up. Also this baby's eyes are very light bright red not dark red. Who knows
August 12, 200618 yr it will be interesting to see what your friend said, but I don't think it's a lacewing becuase of the green on the rump. Edited August 14, 200618 yr by Nerwen
August 12, 200618 yr yep that threw me off Nerwen the only reason I say it is because they can have the suffision (sp??) but I assume that is more of the hue look not the actual green.
August 13, 200618 yr Author Here are puppies. Budgies pictures later. We are keeping one. Her name is Holly.
August 13, 200618 yr so very cute Love the middle picture and the look on Crikets face. How are you keeping a girl? when all the ones picked had been the girls, did someone swap or are you just taking over?
