:yellowhead: Poor Ken, he shouldn't blame himself at all. Unfortunately his poor Mother was in her own private *** and would have continued to do this over and over again as she had in the past. Being instititionalized several times would indicate she was repeatedly treated and counselled but she just couldn't shake her afflictions despite everyone's best efforts and Ken's love. He should console himself in that she is at peace now and this is what she wanted to do. And Sophie is absolutely gorgeous.

They are a pretty pair, but not really brainy. I am surprised the eggs are hatching, as these two kick them around the nesting box like soccer balls. I thought they would give birth to scrambled eggs But baby is well fed and fine and squeezed in a nesting box with both Mum and Dad and four other eggs. :yellowhead:

 

 

****other news. Two fledged baby budgies. The cinnamon spangle green baby of Kaya and Sonny, and a blue spangle baby of Slinky and Bloo.

I am really curious to see the final result of the yellows in Laila and Currys box. Shouldnt have long to wait. I do like the yellow face blues too, myself. So cute

What Am I ???? In the nest of Swift and Rocket we have a further surprise. The baby that started out looking lutino, ....yellow with red eyes.....has changed colour. It now has pale cinnamon over the wings and tail and pale green on its back. But is a red eyed yellow primarily. What is it ? Photos later today.

but I remember one of Nerwen's quizes I believe that cinnamon chicks can be born with red eyes and then they change to black.
