July 9, 200619 yr They are lovely Lin. What did the parents do? It looks like his cere is injured. Were they pecking him? Poor little guy. Well glad he found you! We cannot be sure it was the parents who attacked this and another baby....but there was an aggressive female nearby also who may have been responsible. This little baby was attacked about the cere and also two large gouges on its head which have healed and mostly covered by feathers now....hence his name...Punky for his "hair style"
July 9, 200619 yr Karen that is an excellent name! Shawna, I got Punky from Karen, so I'll leave her to explain the accident! He's quite a little character. he's been having little 'flies' tonight - he flutters twice and then plummets to the ground
July 9, 200619 yr Oh I love Punky what a cutie, looks like my Merlin and the other one what a sweetie...suggestions...Slate, Silver, Oran, Douglas, Glasny, Beck, Milish meaning sweet.

July 10, 200619 yr Cheeta, you know what Karen is like - just a bird pusher! Punky is absolutely gorgeous, I love the way he can flap twice and then plummets to the ground
July 10, 200619 yr How is Punky settling in ? You know I only gave you Punky cos I know he's gonna get special treatment like he deserves, don't you ? I couldn't ask for better homes that people on this forum......and yours. re flying....he's only a bubby budgie....five weeks. Edited July 10, 200619 yr by Bubbles
July 10, 200619 yr He might be a housebird yet Karen! Mr Middlechild wants to tame him - he has fallen in love! I've told him he can sit and talk to Punky, and pop his hand in the cage, but he can only bring him out when I am in the room! We'll see how Punky goes! (Oh, he turns 13 next week, so I think he's old enough to trust with the bird in the cage!)

And any of your kids would have learnt a thing or two about birds to be trusted to do the right thing by them. Baby photos...........yours on the right aged four weeks and mother (your baby far left ) parents Edited July 10, 200619 yr by Bubbles
July 10, 200619 yr Thanks for the baby pics Karen. When Stevie emerges from his room (school holidays!) I'll show him the pics - he'll be so excited to see the babies. He's wanted a tame budgie for the longest time, he absolutely adores budgies
July 10, 200619 yr That is so cool! At 5 weeks, you can get a photo history of his life! I love that.....Is there ANY way we can smuggle a baby to Victoria??? :fear
July 10, 200619 yr That is so cool! At 5 weeks, you can get a photo history of his life! I love that.....Is there ANY way we can smuggle a baby to Victoria??? :fear Apparently you need a red tshirt and then a large ponytail............. seriously.....you need a friend travelling back to you from Perth and I think about $65 for transport costs through your airline....too much for a budgie worth only $10 to $15 and with loads of personality from yours truly.
July 10, 200619 yr mmmmm....a red T-shirt I can manage...but a ponytail....that's a bit trickier! I have short hair....:fear I'm sure I could find another place to hide one! I fall in love with your babies every time you post pictures of them....I just wish I lived closer! One day.....*sigh*....
July 12, 200619 yr Lin .....phone me or PM me.......my Dad has 14 or more tiels to rehome..... :budgiedance:
