with spangle sibling "Scooter" . AFFA147.jpg Scooter was severely leg splayed but correction methods I used worked for this little one and no more problems AFFA177.jpgAFFA173.jpg

and Double factor spangle white baby AFFA162.jpg

Was fun in the aviary today....with four babies fledged today and at least 5-6 others fledged recently.....I had baby budgies on my shoulders and head everywhere I went in the aviary. One that fledged last week flew over to say hello, landed on my head and stayed there walking around for 5 mins. I had three on my shoulders and in my hair. It's so nice. I was weeding the garden in the aviary and Ken looked at me and laughed ....he said " You DO realise your hair is full of budgie babies, don't you ?!"

is the spangle you think a dominant pied is that why it could be oddly marked?

The greywing, is it light brown or is that just my monitor (i know you know the difference just asking for the sake of it :D).

They are gorgeous, love the skyblue greywing though :)

The funny marked spangle can't be a dominant pied as no dominant pieds were involved here. The greywing is a definite smoky grey colour on wings....and that budgie is huge.

Nerwen arrives tomorrow morning for a visit and will determine for herself I am sure. We have lots of budgie babies that like to be carried about and cuddled so timing is perfect too.

YAY !!!!! I  then Kaz! :D I love the double factor the most!

Kirb

The double factor is a stunner. The one I have a soft spot for is the big fat blue and grey one  but....most of all I am pleased with Scooter.....as that baby had the worst leg splay I have ever seen and now its really good. :D

It must be so cool to be in the aviary with all the babies on you  . I know myself I would probably sit there for ages

Sometimes my budgies sit on my head for a while, when I put my head in their cage to feed them, it's so funny

:ausb: Very nice amigos you have there, but aside from that Crystal is gorgeous! :bluebudgie:

Nerwen has seen for herself today....and says "recessive pied spangle"

makes sense the hidden gene very cool

Nerwen will have to post about her time there or you :ausb:, love to hear about it.

Did she bring a baby home :bluebudgie: or how about Lin or Cheeta?

I will later tonight but just checked in as I have visitors. I have pictures to post and news. Back on in 2 hours. Lin went home with a new baby. Cheeta has to find bigger home before any additions to household and Nerwen would have to pay too much to transport a baby home but was offered a YF2 spangle baby donation if she wanted one. :)

cool have fun, Lin will have to intro her new baby :bluebudgie:

OMG! I love them. As much as I love spangles, that greywing fella is awesome. :P You'll have to get Ken to snap a picture of you with the budgies in your hair. That would be cool to see!
